What are UUID's

UUID stands for Universally Unique Identifier. It is a 128-bit identifier that is typically represented as a 32-character hexadecimal string, usually displayed in five groups separated by hyphens.

The purpose of UUIDs is to provide a unique identifier that is highly unlikely to be duplicated (although there are still chances of collision), even across multiple systems.

What is UUID v7

UUID v7 is the new version. It allows time based ordering, v7 encodes a Unix timestamp with millisecond precision in the most significant 48 bits. It also allows strong randomness and improved locality.
