What are UUID's?

UUID stands for Universally Unique Identifier. It is a 128-bit identifier that is typically represented as a 32-character hexadecimal string, usually displayed in five groups separated by hyphens.

The purpose of UUIDs is to provide a unique identifier that is highly unlikely to be duplicated (although there are still chances of collision), even across multiple systems

What is UUID v4?

UUIDv4 relies on random or pseudo-random numbers for generating the UUID. Unlike versions 1 and 3, which incorporate timestamps or MD5 hashes, v4 is generated entirely from random numbers. This eliminates any predictability or connection to specific systems or timestamps, enhancing its uniqueness and privacy
