What are UUID's?
UUID stands for Universally Unique Identifier. It is a 128-bit identifier that is typically represented as a 32-character hexadecimal string, usually displayed in five groups separated by hyphens.
The purpose of UUIDs is to provide a unique identifier that is highly unlikely to be duplicated (although there are still chances of collision), even across multiple systems
What is UUID v1?
UUID V1 includes a timestamp as well as a node identifier (usually the MAC address of the computer that generated the UUID). The combination of the timestamp and the node identifier ensures that UUIDs generated on the same machine are unique, and the timestamp helps in ordering UUIDs by time.
It is not recommended to use V1 due to privacy and collision issues. You can use uuidv4 or cuid2.
